F\u00f6r att ytterligare f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttra denna integration har en ny metod utvecklats av en professor vid University of Cincinnati f\u00f6r att s\u00e4kerst\u00e4lla integriteten hos dessa 3D-tryckta delar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Till skillnad mot 3D utskrivna metalldelar s\u00e5 testas en maskin-bearbetad metalldel genom att skicka ultraljudsv\u00e5gor genom delen. Om blocket inneh\u00e5ller sprickor eller oegentligheter som kan \u00e4ventyra delen kommer v\u00e5gorna att studsa av dem, vilket signalerar en svaghet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3D skrivare bygger dock delar lager f\u00f6r lager, snarare \u00e4n fr\u00e5n ett fast block. Detta inneb\u00e4r att v\u00e5gorna bara skulle resa olika n\u00e4r de st\u00f6ter p\u00e5 en oregelbundenhet i delen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Simonettis metod, som han kallar cryo-ultraljud, \u00e4r ocks\u00e5 ganska praktisk eftersom det \u00e4r relativt l\u00e4tt att omsluta metalldelarna i is j\u00e4mf\u00f6rt med flytande metall, vilket skulle tj\u00e4na samma syfte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Den enda haken \u00e4r att isen m\u00e5ste vara kristallklar, fri fr\u00e5n sprickor eller bubblor, f\u00f6r att kunna genomf\u00f6ra ultraljudsv\u00e5gorna ordentligt. F\u00f6r att h\u00f6lja metalldelar i kristallklar is n\u00e4r han testade sitt koncept utnyttjade Simonetti en hemgjord rigg byggd med &#8221;delar fr\u00e5n Amazon.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I huvudsak s\u00e4kerst\u00e4llde han att is-cylindern fr\u00f6s fr\u00e5n botten upp f\u00f6r att f\u00f6rhindra sprickbildning.
